Frequently Asked Questions
When will I get my bulbs?
Pre-orders for our spring bulb collections will be delivered from early October as this is when they should be planted. If you order from October onwards your collection will be delivered within 10 days of you ordering.

What do I get in the box?
This is more than just bulbs in a box! Your box will contain your bulb collection with each variety clearly marked and our guide on what to do on every step of your Flora While journey to get the best from your purchase, including how to arrange them in the pot to get the best display. You will also receive a Flora While label so you know where your Flora While collection is!

Can I buy as a gift and have it sent straight to the person I’m giving to?
Absolutely! We would love to send our unique gift direct to your friends or family for you – you can add a personal message in the order process which we will handwrite for you.

Will this work as a Christmas gift?
Yes! We have included in the product descriptions which collections will be appropriate for a Christmas gift. Please make sure you keep the collection in a cool, dark, dry place until you give them as gift.

Do you do gift vouchers?
We currently don’t do gift vouchers but are happy to send our collections as a gift – if you would like some help choosing for someone please contact us on social media and we will chat to you about which might be best for their front door, garden or balcony!

How will I know what to do with my bulbs?
Every collection has a guide on what to do on every step of your Flora While journey, including how to arrange them in the pot to get the best display.

How long will my bulbs last?
Each collection will last a different amount of time please check this information on our product pages.

How long before I have flowers?
The joy of this gift is that is lasts for a while! Spring flowering bulbs are also known as autumn bulbs and that is because they need to be planted in autumn/early January as they love a bit of cold weather to wake them up and get them going. They will then start to show themselves in early spring.

What size of pot do I need?
The approximate pot size that we recommend is included in the product description on the products page and advice about size of pot is included in the detailed guide that comes with your collection. However, you could also split the collection between two pots or a put each variety of bulb in an individual small pot and cluster them together to give you a display you can move around and rearrange.

Do you sell pots?
Not at the moment… but we will keep you updated via e-mail if we start to or partner with a sustainable provider.

What happens when I place an order?
Firstly, we will get quite excited and send you a confirmation e-mail! We will then send you your bulb delivery at the right time for planting – for pre-ordered spring bulbs this will be in early October. If you place your order from October onwards we will send your collection within 10 days so you can get going and start planting!

What type of compost should I use?
We recommend that you use peat free compost, which is available at most garden centres.
